DIY Father’s Day Aftershave

So easy for kids to make at home!

Tomorrow is Father’s Day! If you need a little something extra to add to your gift for your dad try making him a homemade gift. This recipe for DIY aftershave is super simple and it will keep your dad’s face nice and soft. Plus, its all natural! No alcohol or anything else that might sting if he accidentally cuts himself. You can change up the recipe depending on what your dad likes too. Some suggestions for more manly scents include: orange, thyme, sandalwood, bay, cypress, vanilla, plus many more. Just don’t put anything too flowery in there and he is sure to love it.

This is also an easy recipe for kids to make for their dads at home! Instead of a drawing this year, have you kids make dad some aftershave that he will use!

DIY Aftershave

  • 1/8 cup Kelapo coconut oil, melted or softened
  • 1/2 cup shea butter, softened
  • 2 to 4 drops of essential oil

Combine these ingredients in a blender. Put in a nice jar such as an old, wide mouth coconut oil jar that your dad can fit his hand in to scoop out a little with his fingers.

Tip: Keep in refrigerator to add a refreshing coolness when your dad uses it after shaving.

Did you make a DIY gift for your dad this year?
