Kourtney Kardashian’s Hair Mask
Get gorgeous hair like Kourtney Kardashian!
According to StyleBistro.com, Kourtney Kardashian “does a hair mask once a month made out of avocado, mayonnaise, egg, olive oil, castor oil and coconut oil.” We say, great idea, Kourtney, but we were doing it first! Use coconut oil to repair damage from heat styling, over processing, or just dry winter air that can wreak havoc on your locks. My husband even used it as a last minute styling product when he forgot his gel on vacation last weekend!
Here’s our recipe for a DIY hair mask that is WAY cheaper than a salon treatment, and guaranteed to leave your hair feeling soft and silky.
Mash one ripe avocado and add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and 2 tablespoons warmed coconut oil. Apply to the bottom half of hair, concentrating on ends (I find a pastry brush works great!) Wrap hair in plastic wrap, then a hot towel, and leave on for 30 minutes. Shampoo and condition hair as usual. Repeat monthly, or whenever hair feels dry.
