Lactose Free Smoothie

It’s National Swap Ideas day! In honor of this day, I added coconut oil to one of my favorite snacks and I also got rid of the dairy! Getting rid of lactose is important to me because my boyfriend is lactose intolerant and sometimes it can be frustrating for him to watch me enjoy things he can’t. Plus, this recipe makes enough for two and you can’t tell the difference!

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana, thickly sliced
  • 2 cup strawberries, hulled
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 2 tbsp. coconut oil

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine the ripe banana, strawberries, almond milk, honey, and coconut oil. Puree until smooth.
