Charm City Corn

Happy Memorial Day! If you are attending a potluck BBQ here is a tasty side dish you can bring. Or if you are hosting your own BBQ feast this side dish pairs wonderfully with your other main entrees. What gives this corn dish that unique taste is the delicious, savory richness from the Kelapo ghee and of course the flavorful, staple, Old Bay seasoning. Enjoy your Memorial Day! 


  • 2 cups water 
  • 1 cup milk 
  • salt 
  • 4 ears corn 
  • 4 tablespoons Kelapo ghee 
  • 2 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning 
  • green hot sauce 





  1. In a pot, add 2 cups of water, 1 cup of milk, and a pinch of salt; bring to a boil. Cut 4 ears of corn into thirds. Add corn to the pot and cook until crisp-tender—about 5 minutes—then drain. 
  2. In the same pot, melt 4 tablespoons of Kelapo ghee, 2 teaspoons of Old Bay seasoning, dash of green hot sauce, and some salt to taste. 
  3. Toss the cooked corn in the spicy butter and enjoy!
