Cheesecake Brownies, the Delicious Duo

Have a hard time deciding on the perfect dessert?  If you love brownies and you love cheesecake, you’re not going to be able to keep your hands off these Cheesecake Brownies.  It truly is the best of both desserts packed into one bite – yum!

For any baked goods, I am a firm believer in replacing butter or vegetable oil with coconut oil. Not only is this a healthier alternative, but the flavor and texture of brownies, cookies, and breads come out AMAZING! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

To cook or bake with coconut oil, simply replace the recipe in a 1:1 ratio. Example – ½ cup butter would be ½ cup coconut oil. Here’s what you’ll need:


1 package brownie mix

1 8-ounce package cream cheese

1 egg

1/3 cup sugar


  1. Make brownie mix according to package directions, making sure to replace coconut oil for vegetable oil. Pre-heat oven to directions on brownie mix box and set the bowl aside.
  2. Spray a brownie pan with Kelapo Coconut Oil Cooking Spray. Next, spread the brownie batter into the greased pan.
  3. Empty cream cheese, egg, and sugar into a large bowl. Mix well with an electric mixer until all ingredients are smooth. Dollop the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter and smooth out with a spatula or knife, being sure swirl the mixture.
  4. Bake the brownies according to the box directions. To check if brownies are finished, place a toothpick in the center. This will come out clean if fully cooked.
  5. Remove brownies from the oven and place them on the counter to cool before cutting.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
