Delicious Chocolate Recipes For Your Loved Ones

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and you know what that means! Mass amounts of chocolate delicacies! It’s all fun and games when you’re making delicious chocolate treats but who are they really meant for? When deciding who to give chocolates to just remember the people who are closest to you. Show gratitude to those who have helped you through hard times or those going through hard times themselves. Above all, make your favorite chocolate dessert. You deserve all the love and gratitude there is to give on this day!

I’ve narrowed down this year’s recipes, including my favorite of course, to 3 exquisite chocolatey goodness desserts! You’re definitely in for a treat (pun intended).

Chocolate Doughnuts

Ingredients needed:

½ cup of dark chocolate

¾ cup of Kelapo Ghee

½ cup of cocoa powder

¾ cup of sugar

1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

5 eggs

½ cup of chocolate (melted)

¼ cup of sprinkles

Kelapo Ghee Spray

Get a saucepan and add the dark chocolate with Kelapo Ghee to melt over medium heat. In the same saucepan, add the cocoa powder, sugar, and vanilla extract then stir. Take the saucepan off the heat and whisk in the eggs one at a time. In a cupcake/muffin baking sheet spray the Kelapo Ghee Spray and take a piece of greaseproof paper to scrunch it into a small ball. Place each ball into the center of each hole in the cupcake tin, this will make the doughnut hole. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees before adding your doughnut mixture into each cupcake tin hole making sure to circle around the paper balls, not over them. Bake for about 8-10 minutes Carefully remove the doughnuts from the sheet. Once taken out, remove the paper balls which should give you a circle-shaped hole in each doughnut. Dip the top into the melted chocolate and add your choice of sprinkles! These are great for any Valentine

Chocolate Peppermint Squares

Ingredients needed:

Crust

10 sheets of graham crackers

6 tablespoons of Kelapo Ghee (melted)

Peppermint Cream

½ cup of Kelapo Coconut Oil

½ cup of heavy cream

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

3 teaspoons of peppermint extract

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Chocolate Coating

4ounces of dark chocolate

2 tablespoons of Kelapo Coconut Oil

Crust

To make the crust, place your graham crackers in a ziplock and with a rolling pin crush the crackers until fine in texture. In a bowl, add the crushed graham crackers and melted Kelapo Ghee and mix. Line a 9×9 inch pan with parchment paper and with a non-stick baking spatula spread all the crushed graham crackers on top of the parchment paper until even to create the crust. Place in the freezer.

Peppermint Cream

In a large bowl, add the Kelapo Coconut Oil, heavy cream, vanilla extract, peppermint extract, and powdered sugar. Make sure to use a hand mixer when mixing until a thick cream is formed. Remove the pan with the crust from the freezer and spread the peppermint cream on top of the crust. Freeze again for at least an hour. Once frozen, remove the pan from the freezer and cut the sheet of peppermint cream and graham crackers into 36 squares. Place the squares into a metal cooling rack.

Chocolate Coating

In a small bowl, combine the dark chocolate and Kelapo Coconut Oil. Microwave for 20-second intervals, stirring in between each time until chocolate is fully melted. You may have to add a bit more of coconut oil based on the chocolate used. Top the squares with the melted chocolate and then place in the freezer until ready.

Double Chocolate Brownies

These brownies are my absolute favorite! I’ve received countless compliments on them, but I usually make them for my own indulgence.

Ingredients needed:

1 box of chocolate cake mix

1/3 cup of whole milk

¼ cup of Kelapo 50/50 blend of Coconut Oil and Ghee (melted)

1 large egg

12 ounces of dark chocolate (chopped and divided)

4 ounces of white chocolate (chopped)

Before preparing the mix, be sure to preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, milk, the melted Kelapo 50/50 blend, and the egg. Once that’s done, add ½ cup of chopped dark chocolate and the chopped white chocolate, and mix well. Spread the brownie batter on a 9-inch square pan covered with parchment paper. Sprinkle the remaining chopped chocolate on top and bake for about 30 minutes. Let cool before serving and then dig in!

Peace, love and Kelapo ♥
