DIY: Oatmeal Facial Scrub

Oatmeal Facial Scrub

I hate the wintertime for one reason, dry skin! My skin becomes dry and even starts to get flakey. I know there are lots of people out there who can relate to this problem, so this year I decided to do something about it. I started searching for a do-it-yourself, natural remedy to my winter skin problem and what I found was a great oatmeal scrub recipe.

Oatmeal is great for sensitive skin types because of its anti-inflammatory properties. Also, when oatmeal applied as a facemask it helps treat and get rid of dry, dead skin cells. Plus, I went ahead and added coconut oil because it has anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

This scrub also helps you save money that you would spend on expensive facial creams and washes. And if I’m being honest not one of those costly items has helped with my problem. This oatmeal scrub has been a great find for me. Here’s what you’ll need:

Ingredients:

Oatmeal

Warm Water

1 tablespoon Kelapo Coconut Oil

Paste like consistency

Directions:

1.  Put oatmeal in a bowl and add enough warm water to make a paste like consistency.

2. Add Kelapo Coconut Oil and stir well.

3. Gently exfoliate in circular motions. Let it stay on for about 10-15 minutes. Rinse off and pat dry with a towel.

This is my new go-to winter facial scrub! How do you keep your skin from drying out in the winter?
