DIY Razor Burn Relief

Let’s just start by saying, I hate shaving. My skin is so sensitive and I almost always get razor burn. The problem was made worse when I, by VERY last resort, had to use a single blade razor. (I blame Dave for buying them because they were on sale) I immediately regretted that decision. Thankfully, my jar of coconut oil was right next to my vanity and I started lathering it on my legs. The lauric acid in coconut oil is anti-bacterial, which means it can prevent any of those annoying bumps from becoming infected.

Unfortunately, even the best razors can make my skin irritated. So the next time this happened, I created a sugar scrub to help ease the redness with 1 cup raw sugar and 1/2 Kelapo Coconut Oilwith a few drops of essential oil. I rubbed this mixture directly to my skin after I shaved and let it sit for a few minutes before wiping it off with a warm cloth.

I no longer have to dread shaving with coconut oil at my vanity!

This remove any dead skin and course hair around the razor burn. This really helped soothe my skin – just make sure it’s sugar and NOT salt. That would hurt.

After I dried my legs, I used my Three Ingredient Moisturizer all over my legs which really provided much needed relief. Thankfully I still have plenty, even though my fiancé is using it daily (which I can’t complain!).

I also read apple cider vinegar can help with razor burn. Anyone tried that?
