Green Tropical Smoothie  

I recently discovered a quick and easy breakfast alternative that keeps me feeling fully energized throughout the day. Smoothies are a great, healthy meal replacement, especially when you’re short on time in the morning. Adding a tablespoon of Kelapo coconut oil into your smoothie will leave you feeling full longer and prevent the pesky sugar crash. Coconut oil helps reduce hunger and provides a great source of energy. This green tropical smoothie is an amazing step towards a healthy lifestyle this new year!

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup kale 
  • 1 cup water 
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple 
  • ½ banana 
  • 1 tablespoon Kelapo coconut oil 
  • 1 serving protein powder *optional* 

Instructions: 

  1. In a blender, add in 1 cup of kale, 1 cup of water, 1 cup of frozen pineapple, and half of a banana. Blend until combined. 
  2. Next add 1 tablespoon of Kelapo coconut oil into the blender. For some additional protein, add a serving of protein powder. Blend until fully combined. 
  3. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
