Homemade Honey and Spices Mask

I am about half way through my second pregnancy and I’m noticing that my skin has really been acting up lately. I didn’t have too many issues with my skin during my first pregnancy so it sometimes is a bit challenging to find a good remedy to work with my ever changing skin. I typically cleanse my skin with coconut oil, but I wanted to find a mask to use to really clear out my pores. I tried this spice mask that the girls in the office suggested and I really enjoyed it.

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients together and mix well.
  2. Apply all over dry face and allow to sit for about 10 to 15 mintues.
  3. Rinse off with warm water and pat face dry.

I have used honey on my hair before however I don’t beleive that I have ever put it on my face. I enjoyed the feeling of the honey on my face and it made my skin feel very smooth afterwards which I credit to the coconut oil as well. The ingredients that were used are very beneficial for clearing your skin of any acne or inflammation that you may experience. Honey is an unprocessed antibacterial agent that kills bacteria and eliminates acne. Cinnamon has beneficial properties from essential oils in cinnamon bark, allowing it to be an anti-clotting and anti-inflammatory agent to the skin. And the tumeric and coconut oil helps to relieve your skin of any redness and inflammation.

What’s your favorite go to facial mask?
