Stay Home Because You’re Well Day
Yesterday, November 30th, was “Stay Home Because You’re Well Day”! Now, as beautiful as that sounds, given that not all of us can call off because “we’re well” from work I’ve decided to celebrate it today, December 1st! It’s the perfect way to end the week and start off the new month. Whether your method of relaxation be meditation, doing a workout, making your favorite dessert or my personal favorite binge watching your favorite show, today is your day! The things you do that help your physical and mental well-being are extremely important, and today is the day to dedicate time to yourself.
During the week our busy work lives can get the better of us and sometimes leave us still taking work home over the weekend. These are things that can pile up stress in our lives over time, which is never a good thing.
My plans for the day include driving to the bookstore this morning and buying a book I’ve been wanting to read for the past two months. Once I get home, I’ll prepare a warm cup of tea with honey and relax on my hammock. Since I live in Florida, the weather has been chilly, but the days have been absolutely beautiful! Take advantage of your day if the weather is on your side.
If you want to try something different today here is a quick and no-baking needed recipe! I’ve made some minor tweaks to this recipe for better flavor!
Banana Bread in a Mug
Ingredients Needed
Kelapo Ghee Cooking Spray
3 tablespoons of flour
1 tablespoon of teas sugar
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon of salt
1/8 teaspoon of baking powder
1/8 teaspoon of baking soda
1 egg
¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 tablespoon of Kelapo Coconut Oil
1 tablespoon of milk
1 ripe banana (mashed)
First you want to make sure the mug you’re using is microwave save. We do not want any accidents! Next, with he Kelapo Ghee Cooking Spray, spray your mug. In a separate bowl, add the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Blend until all ingredients all mixed together. Now, add the egg to your bowl and whisk. Next, you’ll want to add the vanilla extract, Kelapo Coconut Oil and mashed bananas into the bowl and mix together. Take your mug and add all the contents from the bowl and pop in the microwave for about 3 minutes (you can check on the mug after 90 seconds). Let the mug cool down for about 2 minutes and enjoy! If you’re like me, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a real treat!
I hope you have a great day!
