Kim Kardashian’s Psoriasis Lotion
Kim and Kourtney Kardashian
On a recent episode of “Kourtney & Kim Take Miami,” Kim Kardashian tried a unique “lotion” in hope of helping her psoriasis. This “lotion” was actually her sister, Kourtney’s, breast milk! Kim claims that the breast milk has helped. She said, “These spots have been, like, really continuous – for, like, six months they haven’t gone away – so the fact that they’re white is a good sign. So I just want to keep on trying it.”
We want to help Kim and all of you avoid this extreme DIY lotion. Plus, not all of us have access to breast milk. One of the key ingredients in breast milk is lauric acid, which is also one of the key ingredients in coconut oil! Lauric acid is antibacterial and antiviral which could be one of the many reasons the breast milk is helping Kim’s psoriasis.
Coconut oil is a great moisturizer for your skin and Dr. Vail Reese told WENN, “Anything that relieves dryness can minimize the itch and inflammation of this non-infectious disease…”
We already know that Kourtney is a fan of coconut oil, you can check out her hair mask here! So maybe Kim should try using our recipe for DIY Lotion with Coconut Oil instead of Kourtney’s breast milk.
If you are experiencing dry, irritated skin or if you have psoriasis give coconut oil a try and let us know how it works for you!
